
Raise the Roof! Alisa’s Angels Foundation will
rebuild at least one of the
Montlure Camp cabins destroyed in
the Wallow Fire. All work will be done in coordination with, and
under the guidance of, the Montlure Camping Council. This is a long
term project. There is much work to be done over the next years to
protect and preserve the remaining structures and our national
forest. About Montlure Camp: Montlure has served three generations of Presbyterians from Arizona and New Mexico. Since 1930, Montlure has been based in the White Mountains of Greer, Arizona. Each summer, children in grades 4 through 12 escape the heat to spend a few days having fun and growing in their faith and love for God and their neighbors. About the Wallow Fire: The Wallow Fire burned across Northeast Arizona and Northwest New Mexico in the summer of 2011. The fire broke out on The fire burned 817 square miles (522, 900 acres) and destroyed 30 structures, including three cabins, the boys bathroom, and the waste water treatment building at Montlure.
